How therapy works

Anxiety can feel very overwhelming and isolating at times. It disconnects us from our body and the world around us. Often making it difficult for us to stay in the present moment. This can look like constantly thinking about the worse case scenario, ruminating about past events or decisions you need to make, or avoiding social situations.

Therapy can be very helpful in identifying ways to challenge, cope, or work with the anxiety we feel. In my practice, I utilize several treatment modalities to help clients gain more insight and cope more effectively with their anxiety.
